Jeffrey Lee Dove

Jeffrey Lee Dove, age 53, passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving and dedicated family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jeffrey was born on December 17, 1971, the son of Claude L. and Carolyn L. (York) Dove, in Toledo, Ohio. Jeff was a proud graduate of Springfield High School and shortly after graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He carried immense pride in being a Marine, and his service was a defining chapter of his life.

Jeff had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was out fishing or tracking through the woods on a crisp morning hunt, nature was his sanctuary. Jeff was a former member of the Delta American Legion Post 373 and a member of the Delta Fraternal Order of the Eagles 2957 Aerie. He found joy in the simple things and was always ready with a helping hand, no matter who needed it.

Left to cherish Jeffrey’s memory include his father, Claude Lee (Sharon Homier) Dove; siblings, Lee (Roseanne) Dove, Lisa Bender, Charles Dove, Renee (Dave) Thomas, and Ramona Rasey; 12 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and nephews. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn L. Dove.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 4:00-7:00pm at the Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, 7438 Airport HWY, Holland, Ohio. Visitation will continue on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:00am-12:00pm with a funeral service starting at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
