Jeanette L. Pelton

Jeanette L. Pelton, age 91, of Waterville, Ohio, passed away on January 10, 2023, at Heritage Village of Waterville, where she was a resident, surrounded by her family. Jeanette was a 1949 graduate of Swanton High School. She was a passionate homemaker, and her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time, Jeanette enjoyed gardening- mostly vegetables, watching soap operas, and reading.

Jeanette L. (Wiles) Pelton was born on September 7, 1931, in Pioneer, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Grace (Grim) Wiles. She married Ivor E. Pelton, on July 1, 1950, and he preceded her in death on August 29, 1984.

Left to cherish her memory include her children, Cynthia (Jim) Larimore, Susan (Bruce) Shock, Lawrence (Annette) Pelton, and Beth (Jon) Raimonde; grandchildren, Julie (Todd) Prentice, Melisa Shock, and J.B. Shock, Lauren (Travis) Gordon, Evan Pelton, and Brooke Pelton, Joshua Pelton (whose father is Jeanettes late son, Kerry Pelton), Jason, Sarah, and Marisa Raimonde; one great-grandchild, Sonora Larimore; siblings, Gloria Sherman, and Roger (Donna) Wiles; brother-in-law, John Weber. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ivor Pelton; son, Kerry Pelton, and one infant, baby boy Pelton, who passed away in 1954; sister, Sharon Weber; and brother-in-law, Walter Sherman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Swanton Centerville Cemetery, Swanton, Ohio.
