Jean Alice Boyce

In celebration of a life well lived, Jean Alice Boyce, 89 years old went to be with the Lord on December 10th 2017. Born to Anna and Vernon Ressler on June 14, 1928 in Toledo Ohio, she was quite an example of the "Greatest Generation " She lost her beloved Brother Harold Ressler fighting for our country in Wold War II. Jean lived and shared her life with the guiding principals of God, country and family. Jean became a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in 1951. Jean dedicated her life to teaching her children Gods wonderful ways. In 1950 Jean and her husband Howard built their own home where she remained into her passing. Jean always wanted to be a nurse, after raising her two children she captured her dream and worked for Mercy Hospital as a LPN. After retiring Jean and Howard traveled the entire North American continent in their motor home and private plane. They also took a number of cruises and visited the Holy Lands. Jean always helped Family and friends in need with no hesitation. Jean leaves behind her husband Howard of 69 years; daughter Karen Hawkins; son Kevin Boyce (Jeanean); 6 grandchildren Heath, Aaron, (Jodi), Hawkins, Kristi (Chris )Hayward, Nathan, Kevin, (Aimee), Ben Boyce and 5 great grandchildren, Jaxson , Jacoby Hawkins, Noah, Alivia, Klayton Boyce all of whom will hold their love and memories of this woman within their hearts. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour 2820 W Alexis Rd. Toledo OHIO, 43613 at 11am, with a luncheon in her honor to follow. Jean's family would like to thank Promedica Ebeid hospice for care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jean's name may be directed to the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour's roof fund.
