Janet Romstadt

Janet Romstadt, 82, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at St. Clare Commons. Janet was born September 5. 1941 in Genoa, Ohio to Edilbert and Theodora (Engle) Romstadt. She worked as a nurses aid for over 30 years at Genoa Care Center and Luther Homes. She was the care giver of the family.

Janet was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bingo, reading, and fishing. She especially loved to challenge her sisters and nieces at card games and Yahtzee. She was an Ohio State Football fan as well as Notre Dame.

She is survived by her siblings, Margaret Wilds, Dennis (Linda) Romstadt, and Geraldine Oster as well as several nieces and nephews. Janer was lovingly referred to as Nana by her many nieces and nephews. She was like a mother to us. Janet was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathleen Heebsh.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, where a funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Restlawn Cemetery. Condolences may be made online to the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
