Jane-Ella Pitney

Jane-ella Pitney, 66, of Holland, OH passed away unexpectedly on what would have been her parents 70th wedding anniversary, November 22, 2021 at Toledo Hospital. She was born on September 29, 1955 in Covington, KY to Kenneth S. and Belva Jean (Christopher) Ratcliff. Jane-ella had a strong faith and dedication, joining the Primitive Baptist Church when she was 14. She remained active and volunteered often for her church. Jane-ella took after her mother and prepared meals from scratch and memory and will fondly be remembered for especially her brownies and coffee cake. She enjoyed traveling, crafts as well as sewing. After retirement, she took to babysitting her beautiful granddaughter, who was the light and joy of her life. Jane-ella was kind, caring, giving, with a giant heart and would do what she could for anyone. So much so, Jane-ella opted to be an organ donor and will continue to live on helping others. Jane-ella is survived by her loving children, Andrew Pitney and Kayla (Mac) Hartford; granddaughter, Mackenna; siblings, Kenneth Christopher (Paula) Ratcliff, Karen Sue Ratcliff, Jay Byron (Pam) Ratcliff and Hope Elaine Ratcliff; in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm in Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery.
