James Morten

James C. Morten, age 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 19, 2013. A Vietnam veteran of the US Army. James retired in 2003 after 42 years of service as a forklift operator with GM Hydra-matic, Alexis Rd. James loved spending time riding his Harley-Davidson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Fannie Morten, his wife, Robyn Morten in 1992. James is lovingly survived by his children, James R. Morten, Darla Morten and Jaycee (Rhonda Brooks) Morten, of Vandalia, Oh. He is also survived by sisters, Ruth Harmon, Nancy Henley, Betty Mitchell, and his grandchildren, Alyssa (Kyle Hawes), Jarett, Abbigail, Jayson and Georgia. Friends and family may visit from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 24 at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301.
