James Dick Galloway

James Dick Galloway, age 86, of Lambertville, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Toledo Hospital. He was born in Akron, Ohio on Tuesday, January 19, 1926 to Willis and Gertrude Galloway. He was employed with Columbia Gas Company for 37 years as a supervisor, retiring in 1981. Dick was a member of Boulevard Church of Christ, serving as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee. He most recently became a member of Fellowship Bible Church. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Gertrude Galloway. He leaves his adoring wife of 65 years, Helen Galloway and his devoted children, Jan Achenbach, Kathy (Jim) Green, Rick (Brenda) Galloway, his grandchildren, Shannon (Steve) Foraker, Gerd Achenbach, Donald (Amanda) Achenbach, Erin (Michael) Zaborski, Hollie (Ray) Platt, Tom Green, Tim (Tracy) Green, Tracey (Bob) Haygood, Travis (Jessica) Galloway, his 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Dick also leaves his dear friends, Robert (Rhoda) Wiskochil. Visitation for Dick will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with funeral services at 11:00 am on Monday. Reverends Phillip Dale and Bruce Rodgers will be officiating. Interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Fellowship Bible Church, Secor and Temperance Rd.
