Jacquelyn (Jackie) Ritzenthaler, age 79 of Toledo, Ohio born March 11, 1937 passed away June 3, 2016, at Hospice of Toledo surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Hazel (Savidge) Ritzenthaler and sister Carolyn Roberts-Cole. Jacquelyn was a member of St. Stephens Church in Sylvania, Ohio. One of her greatest attributes was caring for family and friends. She loved animals. Jackie was one of the first woman Anesthetist in Toledo, Ohio. She attended School at Whittier and DeVilbiss High school in 1955. Jackie attended Nursing school at Maumee Valley Hospital and CRNA school in Wyandotte, Michigan. She also worked at the following Hospitals: St. Lukes: Toledo; Flower and Mercy. She is survived by her sister Diana (Jerry) Mason and brother Richard (Michele) Ritzenthaler, daughter Tina Mynihan. She is also survived by grandsons, Stephen (Cassie) Michael and Matthew Mynihan, Nephews Michael (Brigitte)Mason, Diana (Kevin) Balduff and Alex (Brianna) Ritzenthaler, and several others nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Friends may visit the family in the Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269- 1111) on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. followed by a church service at Noon on Saturday at St Stephens Church in Sylvania, Ohio, where friends may visit after 11 AM, interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
