Irvin Lynn

Irvin M. Lynn, age 92 of Toledo, Ohio passed away at the Franciscan Care on Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was born in Gifford, Illinois on March 5, 1924 to George and Maggie (Ludenbery) Lynn. Irvin was a veteran of the United States Army, 391st Military Police serving during WW II. He received a Honorable Discharged in 1944. Irvin married Arlou J. Lanz on March 4, 1957. They were married for 38 years before her passing. He was employed with Conrail Railroad for 36 years as an inspector, retiring in 1985. He spent the past 2 years at Oakleaf Village and loved being there. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Arlou Lynn and his siblings, John, George, Clifford, Arthur Lynn and Beth Wilson. To all who knew and loved him, he was known better as Kidkee. Kidkee loved all his nieces and nephews as they were his own children, never denying them of anything. Kidkee was a caring, loving and forgiving man, who was admired by many. Never one to let you down. He always said Life is full of hits, runs, and errors. Irvin is survived by his nieces and nephews, Sue (Jim) Wallace, Scott Wilson, Steve (Cathy) Cox, Terri Nimigean, Arthur (Sue) Morris, Tim (Kay) Morris, Larry Morris and Lori (Doug) Burnard along with many great nieces, nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. Visitation for Irvin will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (419-473-1301) on Wednesday, February 22 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Irvins family would like to Thank Oakleaf Village for their loving care and making his last few years enjoyable.
