Humberto (Robert) Vargas Cruz

Humberto “Robert” V. Cruz, 67, of Toledo, Ohio died December 5, 2021 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Matamoros, Mexico on June 12, 1954 to Eugenio and Concepsion Cruz Vargas. He was employed as a fork lift driver for Hinkle Manufacturing and retired in 2015. He enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, and collecting toys. He also enjoyed spending much time with his children, traveling, and going for rides. He was very giving and a fun loving man who loved making memories. Surviving are his children, Christina Cruz, Humberto Cruz Jr., Robert (Tammy) Pierson, and Sherri (Ronaldo) Rodreques, 5 Grandchildren and siblings, Oraila Serrano, Celia Cruz, Eugenio (San Juana) Cruz, Salvador Hernandez, Sister-In Law Juana Cruz He had many honorary children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Darleen Dorothy Cruz, parents Eugenio and Concepsion Cruz Vargas, siblings, Reyes Cruz Sr, and Angelica Najera Friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank- Walker Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 2-8 P.M. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:15 AM. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Catholic Church 300 Warner St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465. Burial Lake Twp. Cemetery.
