Hope A. Anderson died peacefully on March 27, 2023, at St. Charles Hospital, at the age of 88. She was born to the late Russell and Marguerite (Bushrey) Watson on October 3, 1934. She grew up in the Newport, Michigan area and met her sweetheart early on. At the age of 17, she and James were married on June 9, 1951, and were devoted to one another for 47 years, until his passing in 1998.
Hope was a bookkeeper in those early years as well as a waitress. Along with bringing up their three children, she prided herself on working as a Claims Examiner for the State of Ohio for 21 years. After retiring in 1997, she enjoyed time traveling with her best friend from work, Lois Warnke.
Time spent camping and traveling the United States were some of her family’s favorite memories. Hope was always available for her grandkids. Sporting events, summer vacations and time together were so special. She loved to cook, read, knit, and save money. She was thrifty until the end. She would never turn down a dinner out at Golden Lily, Red Lobster or Taco Bell. She was involved in her church, Northwood Church of God and was also a part of the Golden Eagles.
Left to cherish her memory, her son, David; grand kids, Eric (Erin) and Jade; 8 great grandchildren, and many friends and family. Preceding her in death, her parents; children, James and Jeanine; granddaughter, Jennifer; and sisters, Marie and Loretta.
