Homer Jerome "Jerry" Pfaff, of Holland, Ohio, passed away on March 24, 2026, at the age of 89. Jerry was born on July 8, 1936, in Assumption, Ohio, to Homer Clyde and Agnes Irene (Malburg) Pfaff. He graduated from Macomber High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army with multiple enlistments. During his service, he was part of the Sixth Army Cavalry, First Division, 16th Infantry Division, and the 373rd Infantry Battalion. Jerry carried deep pride in his military service and enjoyed sharing stories from his time in the Army with family and friends.
On January 5, 1973, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann (Goodrich) Pfaff, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and friendship. The two shared 48 years of marriage before her passing on February 27, 2022.
Jerry was known as a handyman of all trades and was always ready to lend a helping hand, no matter the day or time. A friendly neighbor and loyal friend, he was someone people could always count on. Jerry was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He will especially be missed by his daughter, Maria, and their special lunch and dinner dates, that she cherished deeply.
Jerry enjoyed football, especially cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and UT. He also had a well known sweet tooth, with a special love for ice cream, despite knowing he probably shouldn't indulge.
Left to cherish his memory include his children, Lance Pfaff, and Maria (Tommy) Meeks; 5 grandchildren, Damien (Julianna) Pfaff, Christian Pfaff, Cameron Pfaff, Alexa Pfaff, and Brayden Meeks; 6 great-grandchildren, Maggie, Meredith, Milo, Maizey, Cooper, and Levi; siblings, Dick Pfaff, Judy (Jim) White, Jamarie Pfaff, and Jan (Chuck) Winke. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Barbara.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Ray Neville Chapel as Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio.
