Herman C. Hamilton, Jr.

Herman C. Hamilton Jr., age 79 formally of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 with his loving daughter by his side at her home in Satsuma, Florida. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 17, 1934 to his parents, Herman and Lettie Hamilton Sr. Herman lived his life believing in service to others. As a child he joined the cub scouts and was active with the boy scouts, earning his Eagle Scout. His adult life, he continued to be very active with scouting and organizing their events. Herman also was a volunteer life guard and was a member of Lions Club. In 1980 he and his wife, Joan moved to Toledo. He was employed with Paramount Acceptance Corp. later becoming Current Credit Company, as a credit manager retiring in 1997. Herman was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hamilton in 1999. He is survived by his loving children, Wade (Bobbie) Hamilton, Tampa, Florida, Melody (Marty) McFadden, Satsuma, Florida, Don (Mary) Hamilton, Jacksonville, Florida, 9 grandchildren , 1 great grandson and brother, James (Barbara) Hamilton, Buda, Texas. Visitation and funeral service will be private.
