Helen M. Shadix

Helen M. Shadix, 89, of Toledo, OH passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Ebeid Hospice. She was born on April 17, 1930 in Lawrenceburg, TN to Bert and Anna (Holt) Rose. Helen was a wonderful cook and enjoyed reading, but her greatest joy was being a grandma to her numerous grandchildren. Helen is survived by her loving sons, Charles (Nancy) Shadix, James Shadix, David (Gloria) Shadix, Richard Shadix, Terry Shadix, Andrew Shadix, Lance (Chrissy) Edgington and Brian (Roxanne) Edgington; 24 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Floyd Rose. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Shadix; daughters, Nora Edgington and Martha Shadix; and siblings, James Dewey Rose and Dorothy Rose. Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd, Toledo, OH 43613 (419-473-1301). Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
