Guy Harold Mansfield, Jr.

Guy H. Mansfield Jr., age 76, of Ida, MI passed away November 27, 2014, surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 18, 1938, to Guy H. Mansfield Sr. and Margaret (Rode) Mansfield in Toledo. He graduated from Macomber High School in 1956 and graduated from Owens Community College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for various companies in the Toledo area as a machine designer, Toledo Scale, Baker Bros., B.R. Bakers, Doehler Jarvis, Surface Combustion, S.S.O.E., Ort Tool & Die and AVCA Corporation. He was a member of the Ohio National Guard obtaining the rank of Sgt. He was a lifelong member of Reformation Lutheran Church serving on church council, the property committee and scoutmaster for Troop 185. He is survived by his daughter, JayLene Mansfield; ex-wife, JoAnn (Johnston) Mansfield; his life partner, Judy-Ann Rife; sister, Barbara DuVall; grandchildren, Georgianne Marks, Wayne Marks, Brandi Nagy; great-grandchildren, Kenneth and Andrew Driebergen, Serenity Nagy-Paschalis, Abbey (Marks) Rice, Joshua Shields; many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and NASCAR racing. He also enjoyed woodworking. He will be shown at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd. 419-473-1301, Wednesday, December 3, 2014, from 2-8 and services will be at Reformation Lutheran Church Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Ottawa Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. - Visitation Wednesday, December 3, 2014 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM H.H.
