Gloria Mae Lawrence

Gloria M. Lawrence, age 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Toledo Hospital. She was born in Toledo on October 25, 1938 to Kermit and Margaret Wilson. Gloria was employed most recently at Hickory Farms as a bookkeeper for several years, retiring in 1986. She was on a bowling league for many years with her family. Gloria loved taking pictures and growing and caring for her many roses. She was very good at making all her cards on the computer, which she attached several of her favorite, colorful stickers before sending them out. Gloria enjoyed corresponding with her long-time pen pals in England, Finland, and Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Eldean Wilson and father-in-law, William Lawrence. Gloria is survived by her beloved husband, David Lawrence, sons, William (Jackie) Hilsenbeck, Michael Hilsenbeck, grandsons, Daniel Hilsenbeck, and Bill Marek, brother, LaVern (Rose) Wilson, sister, Patricia Wilson, and mother-in-law, Alexandra Lawrence. Visitation for Gloria will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd. (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Friday, November 19, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services begin at 10:00 am on Saturday. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
