Gloria J. Lamb

Gloria J. Lamb, at the age of 86 years old, left her earthly home on May 2, 2023, to be reunited with her loved ones that passed on before her.

She was born in Van, West Virginia on April 19, 1937, to Leslie and Carrie Porter. She was the last of her 8 brothers and sisters. Now they are all together again laughing and bickering, which they did quite well.

Gloria moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1964, with a friend in hopes of making a better life for her and her daughter, Markeita. She met her 2nd husband, James V. Lamb in 1972 and they married on March 16, 1973, and moved to Walbridge in September of 1973. Then moved to Parkcliffe in July, 2019 until March of 2023. She became ill and ended up in the hospital and then transferred to Ayden Heathcare for rehab. Her health started declining while there and she took her final breath on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. She attended Mainstreet Church, Walbridge (Moline). While going there, she was in two Bible study groups.

She is survived by her daughter, Markeita (Williams) and her husband, James Phillips of Walbridge, Ohio; grandson, Christopher Phillips of Rossford, Ohio; his children, Liam and Isla of Rossford, Ohio; granddaughter, Carrie (Phillip) and her husband, Dave Wilcik of Moline, Ohio; and their daughter, Tegan.

Gloria was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James E. Williams; infant son, Kim Williams; 2nd husband, James V. Lamb; grandson, Jayson Phillips; along with her parents and 8 sisters and brothers.

The family would like to thank the staff of Parkcliffe and Ayden Healthcare for their support, care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift to Parkcliffe (PO Box 1268 Maumee, Oh 43537).

A time of visitation will take place at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home in Walbridge (701 N. Main St.) on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, May 13, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am with a Funeral Service beginning at 10 am. Interment will take place immediately following at Lake Township Cemetery.
