Gladys Lucille Zenz

Gladys L. Zenz, age 85, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Toledo Hospital. Gladys was born January 25, 1927, in Toledo, daughter of Otto and Clara (Wodtke) Palenske. She married Walter J. Zenz on November 20, 1947. She cared for her children, grandchildren and other neighborhood kids after the death of her husband in 1967. Gladys was a long time CBer. She enjoyed simple things in life like solitaire, bingo, Three Musketeer candy bars and cookies. Gladys loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter J. Zenz; brother, Melvin Palenske and son-in-law, Robert Zolciak. Gladys is survived by her children, Gary Wodtke, Dennis (Roberta) Zenz, Cheryl Zolciak, Cynthia (Kenneth) Zokowich, Douglas (Darlene) Zenz, Caren (James) Mohn, Diane (Paul) Burkhart and Thomas Zenz; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and special friend, Ryan Hall, who helped provide wonderful care to Gladys.
