Gladys Ann Newman Gladys Ann Newman, 89, who was born October 8th 1931, passed away on April 26th 2021, in her sleep at Heartland Rehab Center in Sylvania Ohio. Gladys worked as a surgical nurse for Mercy Health Care for 45 years before she had retired from taking care of people at the hospital, leaving a career that she loved. Gladys had helped so many people throughout her life whether it was patching up skinned knees or putting stiches into most of the neighborhood kids. She loved to sew, Classical music and loved sports, watching the Cleveland Indians was a must.Surviving Gladys is her sister Lois Binger; her sons Dennis Newman, Jeffery Newman, Thomas Newman, and Joseph Newman, and her daughters Mary Cooper, Sally Cooper, and Jean Newman; her 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Norman and her brothers Lawrence and Leo Moyer.Friends may visit the Blanchard Strabler Funeral Home (3219 Tremainsville Rd. @ Alexis Toledo, Ohio 43613 419-269-1111) .
