Gladys Merrick

Gladys M. (Berkey) Merrick, 85 of Erie, MI, passed away Thursday May 13, 2021 at her home. She was born in DuBoise, PA on January 26, 1936 to George and Sarah (Liddick) Berkey. After meeting at church, she would go on to marry Frederick W. Merrick on September 28, 1957. In addition to her love for quilting, sewing, and gardening, Gladys was also a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.She is survived by her; children Marcia Merrick, Douglas (Lisa) Merrick, Marlene (Marty) McCarthy, and David (Dena) Merrick; grandchildren Megan (Dan), Patrick, Aaron (Alyssa), Jacob (Megan), and Ashley; and sisters Ruth Knupke and Maryella Cheek. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and seven siblings.Services for Gladys will be private.
