Gilbert Barto

Gilbert Barto, age 75, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at St. Charles Hospital. Gilbert Barto was born December 5, 1937, son of Louis and Rosie (Suto) Barto. He was a school teacher for 26 years, retiring in 1985. Gilbert officiated for football and basketball games and of late was a volunteer at Bay Park Hospital. Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rudolph Barto. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Kay Barto; six nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and nephews. Gilbert would like to give special thanks to his friends Doris, Chuck, Lyle, Ron and Mel for their years of kindness and friendship. Respecting the wishes of the deceased, no services are planned and in lieu of flowers or contributions, the family suggests you do a random act of kindness for a stranger. Go Tribe
