In Loving Memory of Gavin Bryson Newton June 15, 2020 - October 30, 2020Our precious little angel, Gavin Bryson Newton, beloved infant son of Abby & Christopher Newton, went to be with our Lord unexpectedly on Friday, October 30, 2020 in the arms of his parents surrounded by his loving family. Gavin smiled throughout his 4 1/2 months; bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched. Despite his short time on earth he was deeply loved by so many. Gavin will be forever remembered and loved by his parents Abby & Christopher Newton and his brother, Gabriel Newton. He is further survived by his grandparents Sonya DuBose Newton, John Newton, Mary (Kerry) Fegan, Jeff (Joy) Osterhout; great grandparents Charles (Betty) DuBose, Judy King, Rose & Leon St. Clair, Donnalee Fegan, Bill & Charlotte Osterhout; great-great grandmother, Mary Smith; aunts and uncles Lyndsay (Robert) Guthrie III, Tessa Osterhout, Savannah Fegan, Brady Fegan, Justice Butler, and Jayla Newton; cousins Robert Guthrie IV and Brielle Guthrie. Gavin is also survived by many great aunts, great uncles, extended cousins, and other relatives and friends who loved Gavin very much. He was welcomed into heaven by several other loving family members who have passed before him. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of UTMC and The Toledo Children's Hospital and first responders for their incredible care and efforts provided to Gavin and the entire family. The family appreciates all of the thoughts and prayers extended to us during this unimaginable time. The family will receive friends and family at visitation on Friday, November 6th from 2pm-8pm at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home located at 3219 Tremainsville Rd. Toledo, OH 43613. A Catholic service will be held on Saturday, November 7th at Little Flower Catholic Church at 1pm located at 5522 Dorr St. Toledo, OH 43615. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery located at 5725 Hill Ave Toledo, OH 43615. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sufficient Grace Ministries, Ike & Ella Fund, or directly to the family.
