Gary Lee Walterschied

Gary Lee Walterschied, 74, passed away peacefully Saturday November 4, 2017 in Tampa FL. Gary worked in construction most of his life. He loved to watch Fox News and Detroit Tigers baseball and go fishing. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Gary is survived by his children, Jim Walterschied, Kim (Frank) Hayward; step-children, Christine (Russ) Holst, Allen (Rebecca) Chartier; 10 grandchildren, Chad Cooper, Ethen Holey, Rachel (Mike) Hayward-Stiltner, Shanwna Hayward, Sara Walterschied, Jeremy, Kyle, Lindsey and Myles Akred; 2 great-grandchildren, Peyten and Connor Cooper. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Beckhoff and his children Fred Walterschied and Lisa Holey. Friends will be received at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111) on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of Services at 11 AM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania.
