Frank Vega

.Frank G. Vega, age 63, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday January 4, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, with his loving family by his side. He was born July 10, 1952 in San Antonio, TX to Mr. & Mrs. Eusebio (Inez Garcia) Vega. He retired from Toledo Edison as a Power Plant Repairman. Frank was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, going to the Toledo Zoo and going to the Casino. Frank is survived by his wife Maria (Pena) Vega; children Gary, Frank, Jr., Lisa, and Sara; brothers, Jimmy, Johnny, Ruben; sisters Maryann and Diana; his beloved dog Diego, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Carlos, Jerry, Jesus, Elvira, Elena, and Emma. He will be missed by many family, friends, and coworkers. Friends will be received at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111) on Friday from 2-8PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (4555 N. Haven Ave., Toledo, OH 43612.) Burial will take place with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX at a later date
