Frank Jamison Martin, 57, of Toledo, died June 12, 2011 at St Lukes Hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25 at 11:00am at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4210 West Central Avenue. Frank was born February 6, 1954 in Pasadena, California to the late Abner Jamison and Helen Prescott Martin. As an active youth, Frank received his Eagle Scout badge at age 14. He was a 1972 graduate of Bowsher High School in Toledo, Ohio and a 1976 graduate of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. He worked for Dana Holding Corporation for 34 years in multiple industrial finance positions and retired in 2010. Frank is survived by his sisters, Carol Polk of Chicago, IL, Frances Plec of Las Cruces, NM and Patricia McCarty of Colorado Springs, CO. Known as Uncle Frank, he is also survived by his nephew James Polk and nieces Jeanne Barr, Julie Plec, Jennifer Henderson and Kelly Gilmore, and by six great nephews and nieces. Frank enjoyed his two basset hounds, Harley and Davidson. He also enjoyed golfing, handiwork, grilling, and traveling, especially to Americas national parks. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests tribute gifts to the National Park Foundation (1201 Eye St. NW Suite 550B, Washington, DC 20005; www.nationalparks.org) or to a charity of the donors choice.
