Floyd J. Smith

Floyd J. Smith, age 62, went home to be with the Lord after a battle with cancer on Thursday, January 24, 2008, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee on December 19, 1945 to Vester and Myrtle Smith. Floyd was employed with General Motors as an auditor for 37 years, retiring in 2005. He was a devoted family man who loved playing his guitar and being outdoors.Floyd is preceded in death by his parents and brother Lloyd Smith. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharleen Smith, devoted daughters, MaryAnn (Bob) Seibenick, Kimberly (Eddie) Hineline, grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Katelyn, Nicholas, brothers, Clifford (Dimple) Smith, Jack (Paulette) Smith, sisters, Joyce (John) Milam, Dee Dee (George) Papantoniou, Geraldine (Terry) Burrow, sister-in-law, Ruth Smith and nieces and nephews.Visitation will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd. 419-473-1301 on Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm where funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday.
