Evelyn Morgan- Payne

Evelyn Lucille Morgan-Payne was born in Detroit, MI on January 23, 1947 to the late Jerry Lee Morgan Sr. and Sally Lou Morgan. She departed this life at the age of 77 on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Jerry Morgan Sr. and Sally Morgan, her daughter Lisa Morgan, and her brother Jerry Morgan Jr.Evelyn went to the Detroit public school system and later went on to graduate as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).Evelyn was affectionately known as Granny or GG (by her great-grands). She had a loving, kind, and giving spirit and would give you any and everything she had.Evelyn was a dedicated Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and sister and so much more to people. Evelyns biggest thing to boast about was her family and her grandchildren.Evelyn was very involved with keeping up with her family in Detroit, even after she moved away to Toledo, Ohio to yet again support her family that lived there over 25 years ago.Evelyn accomplished so many things throughout her life, but her special gift was serving and encouraging others. Not only was she dedicated to her family, she was dedicated to God.Evelyn attended Precious Blood Church, and has been a member since 1996, and was a devoted member to her church, and her church family as well.Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sisters, Bessie Horn and Eva Morgan; son, Ronald (Ronnie) Morgan; daughter, DeShawn Jackson (Carl); 6 grandchildren, Latoya Pinson (Broderick), Andrea Jackson -Noble (Ryan), Teea Jackson, Brittnee Paterson (Steven), Carla Jackson, Kalup Morgan, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends that loved her dearly.
