Emily Rose Ammerman

Emily Rose Ammerman, daughter of Randell and Patricia Ammerman was born on January 20th, 1991 in Oregon Ohio. Emily passed away on November 14, 2024 at 33 years of age.  She attended the Catholic schools of St. Jerome Elementary and Cardinal Stritch High School. After high school, she attended Owens Community College where she received her surgical technician certificate and quickly accepted a position in Asheville, North Carolina at Mission Hospital. In 2021, Emily was diagnosed with a rare mitochondrial disease which caused her to have symptoms of ataxia, loss of energy and seizures which took her life. Her fondest memories and accomplishments are making the Dean’s list, being the best step mom to Madison, animal lover and playing multiple sports during her younger years, especially when she won player of the game in softball. In her spare time, Emily loved going to the beach, spending time with her family especially her fiancé Shayne, bike riding, watching reality tv, and getting her nails done. If Emily was not at home, you could find her at Taco Bell and Starbucks. Emily’s warm smile, kind hearted spirit, sweet and caring personality even while fighting this battle, was a blessing to all of us.

Emily was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Barbara Okorowski, Jacqueline and Richard Ammerman and her first pet “Lucky Dog”. She is survived by her parents Randell and Patricia Ammerman, brother, Bradley Ammerman, fiancé Shayne Terrell and step daughter Madison Terrell.

Visitation will be held from 2-8pm Tuesday, November 19th at The Robert Shank, Sr. Chapel at Sunrise Life Celebrations, 701 N. Main Street Walbridge, Ohio 43465. Closing of the casket and saying goodbye will be Wednesday, November 20th from 10-10:30am followed by 11:00 Mass at St. Jerome Church, 300 Warner Street, Walbridge, Ohio. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, 3550 Walbridge Road, Millbury Ohio.
