Edward W. Koon

Edward W. Koon, age 94, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at Lake Park. He was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on July 8, 1917 to B. Edward and Maude May Koon. Edward was a veteran of the Army Air Force. He was employed as a public accountant for many years at Johns Manville. Edward was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Virginia Koon, children Lee (Pamela) Koon, Sue Ellen Koon, Karen (Andrew) Bartmess; grandchildren Dan (Marybeth) Koon, Laura Koon, Bethany and Katie Bartmess; great grandchildren Benjamin and Ethan Koon. Visitation for Edward will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd. (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm followed with funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
