Edward Fleischmann, Sr

Edward Eddie Fleischmann, Jr. 1/25/1929 11/10/2018 Edward Eddie Fleischmann, Jr. passed away after a brief illness. He was born to Caroline (Schuster) and Edward Fleischmann, Sr., who were immigrants of Germany. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly; parents; brother, John and stepdaughter, Susie Smenner. Eddie will be greatly missed by his daughter, Sandra (Randy) Fleitz; brother, Henry (Norma) Fleischmann; sister, Carrie Mariea; brother, Jim Fleischmann; granddaughters, Tracy Woodbury and Corrie (John) Bert; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Rylee, John, Erica, Tyson, Charlie and Hudson and many nieces and nephews. Eddie will also be sadly missed by the love of his life and best friend, Betty Smenner of 40 years; all of his step-daughters, Kathy (Mick) Dorn, Carol (Dale) Morin, Connie (Jeff) Morrow, Chris (Ray) Tunison, Kim (Mark) Osborne, Peggy George, Michelle (Tim) Purcell, Lisa (Jeff) Smith and a special family friend, Jim Trainor and many grand and great-grandchildren. Better known by the community as Eddie and Betty, they enjoyed going out every night to enjoy friends, a couple of drafts and a bite to eat. Eddie worked for Art Iron for 44 years before retiring. Anyone that knew him, knew his car. Sometimes headlights with eyelashes, bull horns, wind up key spiders, etc. were mounted somewhere on his car. He was memorable for his handlebar moustache and the cannons he built. Following Eddies wishes there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be on November 17th from 2-6 PM at the Great Northern Sportsman Club, 6255 Pelton Lane, Ottawa Lake, MI 49267.
