Edward R. Currier

Edward Bob Currier, age 85, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Flower Hospital. He was born on June 25, 1926. Bob was employed as a foreman for 10 years with Katy Steel. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Bob was a member of many veteran organizations, including AMVETS, V.F.W. Post #2898, Conn- Weissenberger American Legion. His memberships also included; Moose-Sylvania, Eagles and the Elks. Bob loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Tom Mueller, brother, Paul Currier and sister, Gladys Reed. Bob is survived by his wife, June Currier, son, John DeWitt, daughter, Leslie (Doug Walters) Currier, grandchildren, Celeste (Jason Sherwood) Moore, Jason DeWitt, Randi (Mike Skiba) Henning, Michelle DeWitt, Shane Henning, great grandchildren, Darren Cully, Demi Moore, Ayanna Skiba, aunt and uncle, Stanley and Mable Spangler, niece and nephews, Dennis Reed, Charles Reed Jr., Rosena Miller, siblings, Steve Currier and Florence Boyd along with 5 other sisters and 2 brothers, brother-in-law, Rev. Kenneth Fuller. His best friends of 50 years, Ledford Holt and of 40 years, Forrest Myler. Visitation for Bob will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd. (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled at 10:00 am on Wednesday.
