Eddie Lee Phillips Eddie Lee Phillips, age 71, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019. He was born July 21, 1947 to the late Willie and Ruth (Jennings) Phillips. Eddie loved to travel, some of his favorite places were Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from DeVilbiss High School. Later in life, Eddie enlisted in the United States Army from 1967 to 1973. Eddie enjoyed many things, such as, fishing, watching football and basketball, playing spades, and spending his time with family and friends. Left to cherish Eddies memory is his wife of 15 years, Belinda Phillips; sons, John Phillips, Eric Phillips, Eddie Phillips, Brandon Schley, Michael Bates, Jr., and Christopher Schley; daughters, Whitney Fletcher and Chandra Schley; grandchildren; and niece, Tracey Phillips. Preceding Eddie in death is his brother, Thomas Phillips; sister, Dorthea Phillips; and his favorite Aunt, Gertrude Bates. Family will be receiving friends, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home, 1163 West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43612 (419-269-1111), until the start of service at 12:00 P.M.
