Dorothy Ruth Halter

Dorothy R. Halter age 87 of Ottawa Lake, MI, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at home. She was born in Toledo, OH on January 27, 1925 to William and Mary Larberg. Dorothy worked at General Mills for 32 years retiring in 1987. After retirement she became a member of the General Mills Retirement Club.Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Jakob Halter; son, Thomas W. Halter; brothers, George, Herman and Bob. She is survived by her sons, Roy, Edward (Jody), John (Patty), Karl, Ricky, James and Norman Halter; daughter, Carolyn Bryan; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Madeline.Visitation for Dorothy will be at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd. (419-473-1301) on Wednesday, April 18 from 2 pm-8 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am at the funeral home on Thursday.
