Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Donna Fay Spivey passed away at home on February 5, 2025.
Donna was born in Whitley County, KY in 1939 to Walter and Clara Leach. Donna had 3 siblings Lilly Leach, Jack Leach and Carl Leach. Donna moved to Toledo as a young girl where she met the love of her life and soulmate James Spivey (preceded in death in 2004). James and Donna married in 1956 and had 2 children Ted (Tammy) Spivey and Wanda (Donald) RedFox, 4 grandchildren Matthew (Kari) Spivey, Anthony (Alyssa) Spivey, Jonathan RedFox and Jacob (Hannah) RedFox, and 6 great grandchildren Clayton, Audrey, Trenton, Abigail, Grady and one on the way.
Donna was the heart and soul of our family and will be dearly missed. Donna’s life can best be encapsulated by her sense of humor, expressed gratitude of a full and wonderful life surrounded by family and friends. Donna enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, visiting friends at the Senior Center and gambling at the Internet Café. Donna was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was truly loved by all and up until the end Donna maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation for Gods creations, love of family and friends.
Friends will be received at The Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, Holland, (419 269 1111) on Friday February 14, 2025 from 4-8 PM where Services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM. Burial Swanton Twp. Cemetery.
