Donald Arman

Donald S. Arman, age 91 of Toledo, Ohio passed away with his loving family by his side on January 23, 2016. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 30, 1924 to Steve and Jessie Arman. Donald was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving during WW II. He was an employee of Jeep for 21 years and Lucas County for 30 years, working on the committee of the Homestead Act. Donald also was self-employed as an accountant and realtor. He was an avid fisherman on Lake Erie. He loved music, singing and dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rena Arman,son, Donald Arman and siblings, Robert Arman and Barbara Mang. Donald is survived by his devoted daughters, Pam (John) Eichner, Pat (Doug Townsend) Douthett, Deb (Walt) Kozachenko, Sherry (Steve) Childress, Sandy (Jeff) Cislo, grandchildren John (Darlene), Jamie (Bobby), Greg (Marissa), Jill, Jason (Amanda), Chad, Chelsea (Matt)Steve (Leesha), Corey (Jennifer), Stacie, R.J. (Lauren) and Shawna, and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (419-473-1301) on Tuesday, January 26 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Sharing of memories will begin on Wednesday in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Cemetery.
