Dennis Lamont Burruss, Sr.

Dennis Lamont Burruss Sr. affectionately known as Den was born in Toledo Ohio on ( July 1, 1969) to parents Robert Love who has preceded him in death and Mary Newsome He transitioned unexpectedly on May 14, 2025.

He attended the Toledo Public Schools and later became a person that enjoyed living life. Den took after his father and could engage everyone he met in conversation. Within 2 minutes of the initial meeting you would be hooked, wanting to hear what else he had to say. He always left you laughing one way or another. Memories that if you heard the story, you would not forget. He enjoyed football, fishing and teasing others (If you know you know).

Den was preceded in death by sisters Connie Burruss and Candy Threadgill. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Christine Burruss-Gaines, sons, Steffan Lamont Howey, Dennis L. Burruss Jr., Ziyon C. Small and Kayden A. Boyd and bonus son, Marshon Jackson; daughter Marionna Lathan; bonus daughters, Salina and Shalonda Jackson; grandson Maximus Kai Howey granddaughter Carmalita A. Love; brothers Oree A.Burruss  Sr. (Cubby), Brian A. Love Sr. and Robert A. White: Sisters Valarie J. Golladay, Magic Gaines, and Princess Hudson, and a host of other loving relatives’ family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, Holland (7438 Airport Hwy) 419-865-8879) on Friday May 23, 2025 from 10 AM until the time of Services at Noon.
