David Munoz

David Munoz, age 87 died on Monday October 3, 2022 at Hospice in Toledo, OH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 4th 1935 in New Braunfels, TX. The son of Maria Del Refujio Valdez and Medardo Munoz Sr. David was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked all over the United States but ended up settling in Toledo, OH. On March 5, 1960, he married Martha Jane Jones in Dayton, OH. David worked at The City of Toledo Water Reclamation Plant as an operator for 27 years. He loved golf, Notre Dame Football and the Dallas Cowboys. He spent most of his time attending his grand children and great grand childrens games and events. David loved his family and was the happiest when he was with them.David is proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Martha Jane Munoz , his parents Medardo & Maria Munoz, his brothers Raul, Enrique, his sisters Teresa, Paula, Rebecca, Anita and his son David Munoz Jr. He is survived by his five children Jimmie(Janice) Picklesimer of Illinois, Douglas(Karen) Munoz of Troy, OH, Saundra (Jeff) Middleton of Toledo, OH, Juanita(Jeff) Szymanski of Toledo, OH, and Jordan(Sarah) Munoz of Toledo, OH. His grand children Valerie (Roger) Hall, Mary Ann Ploski, Jimmie Jr, Scott & James Munoz, Eric(Kristin) Middleton, Jeremy (Kayla) Middleton, Christina (James) Smallwood , Heather(Ben) Gaisie, Heather & Michael Szymanski, Madison, Royce & Olivia Munoz, his 18 great grand children, his sisters Lydia and Mary, and his brother Medardo Jr.Funeral services will be held Friday October 7th at 1:00 pm @ Blanchard Strabler Funeral Home. 3219 Tremainsville Rd. Toledo, OH. The family will receive friends @ Blanchard Strabler Funeral Home Thursday October 6th from 4:00-8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
