David J Mulligan, Sr.

David J. Mulligan Sr. age 71, of Toledo, Ohio passed away, Saturday, January 8, 2011 with his loving family by his side, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Monroe, Michigan on June 28, 1939 to Elmer and Mae Mulligan. He was a veteran of the United States Army. David was employed as a department manager at K-Mart for 39 years, retiring in 2001. He loved listening to country music and was an avid walker, walking 4 miles every day. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mae and his brothers, Lawrence and Richard. Dave is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothea Dottie Mulligan, his loving sons, David (Misty) Mulligan Jr. and John (Kelly) Mulligan, his beloved grandchildren, David Mulligan III and Emily Mulligan, his sisters, Linda Peck, Patricia Howerton, Susan (Mel) Boys.Visitation for David will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Wednesday, January 12 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will begin on Thursday at 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2843 Sterns Rd. Lambertville, Michigan 48144.
