Sarge David A. MuirDavid A. Muir, age 67, of Toledo, Ohio, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at St Vincent Mercy Hospital. He was born in Toledo, on April 24, 1941 to Boyd and Betty Muir. David served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a truck driver for 40 years, employed most recently with Midwest Logistics. Davids hobbies include gardening, reading and collecting. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, Red Wings Hockey and Ohio State Football.David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Muir.He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Leatha Muir, loving children, David (Andrea) Muir, Phyllis (Melvin) Sutton, Dawn (Michael) Duncan, grandchildren Andrew, Darin Muir, Nicholas Duncan, Matthew Flores, brothers, James (Blanqui) Muir, George (Priscilla) Muir, sisters Maggie Miller, Betty Stallings and sister-in-law Barbara Muir. He also leaves behind his beloved pets, Sasha and Bear.Visitation will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Tuesday, May 6, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday. Pastor Mel Sutton officiating. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
