When does a joke become a dad joke?

When it becomes apparent!

If you knew Dave, then you knew one of his favorite things in life was getting a groan from his kids and grandkids with horrible Granpa jokes and puns. He also always had M&Ms and “Granpa juice” on hand for when his grandkids would visit.

Unfortunately for us, at age 78, he left us to join his big rock concert in the sky on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 after a long term battle with COPD. Dave was born July 15, 1943 and was an avid lover of music, sports, model trains, art, reading, bad puns and jokes, and his grandchildren. He was also a retired beloved mail carrier and loved bowling so much he was a part of a team for many years.

Dave is survived by his daughters Gretchen (Bill) Kindberg, Brinn Krantz (Doug Marshall), and Cassi Krantz (Amanda McKee); grandchildren Ravyn, Ryan, Keira, Kailyn, Lessa, Corson, and Kyver; and siblings Roger(Susan) Krantz, Shar Porier, and Mary (Ken) South. Dave is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mary Krantz.

As it was Dave’s wish to be cremated, a memorial will be held in early July 2022. For those wishing to attend the memorial, please email DaveKrantzMemorial@gmail.com or contact one of his daughters.
