Daniel A Hawkins

Obituary Mr. Daniel Antoine Hawkins was born on May 6, 1966 in Oxford, Mississippi to Daniel and Bettye Hawkins. Daniel went home to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully, surrounded by his family members, on July 16, 2018. He grew up In Toledo, OH, attended Toledo Public Schools, and was a graduate of Edward Drummond Libbey High School. He learned his trade while working for Hawkins Sewer and Excavating Co. for many years. Daniel had a great love of music. He enjoyed the Toledo Quartet Association and was affiliated with many groups there. Daniel was road manager for the Gospel Highlights and this was a job at which he shined. Joseph and Mildred Stegall played an instrumental part in Daniel's musical life. He also liked playing his electric guitar. Daniel loved his family and friends, barbeques and other family activities. Daniel professed his life to Christ at an early age. He was a member of His Word Global Ministries, pastored by Bishop Marvin D. Crittenden. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Terry Hawkins, maternal grandparents Moses and Hazel Buford, paternal grandparents John and Darnella Hawkins, and aunts Patricia H. Freeman, Deloris H. Pettis, Ruth B. Buford and Sarah T. Price. Daniel is survived by his loving mother, daughter Jessica, sisters, Tina Rene (Larry) Bowen, Pandora (Jerry) Hawkins, Patricia (Daryl) Williams, brothers John Hawkins and Jason Moses (Jun Xu) Hawkins, and a host of family members and friends.
