Daniel J Gacsal

Daniel J. Gacsal passed away peacefully at home, in the arms of his loving wife, on June 9, 2021. On August 26, 1989, we made a promise to love, respect and honor each other until death do us part. For 31 years we did that with love and joy while raising a wonderful family and sharing the journey with many great friends and loving family. I thank God for bringing you to me. Dan was born February 2, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio to Joe and Margaret “Pat” (Polyasko) Gacsal. He attended Waite High School and embarked on a career as a machinist with Toledo Molding & Die for 33 years, retiring in 2019. Over the years he enjoyed motorcycles, gardening, fishing and all the family pets but, his greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren. He believed in hard work and supporting his family and friends in any way he could. Dan will be forever cherished and missed by his wife, Kathleen “Rose” (Dailey) Gacsal; children Rachel, James and Andrew; grandchildren Taylor (Matt) Williams, Connor Laws and Aiden Cousino; sister Karen Sue (Hank Allen) Horvath; many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws and his fishing brother, Art. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Gacsal. Memorial contributions in Dan’s honor may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation’s Trees In Memory program.
