Dan Kramer, Sr.

Dan L. Kramer Sr., 87 of Toledo, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was born May 16, 1934 to Daniel and Elizabeth (Saam) Kramer. Dan graduated from Whitmer High School in 1952, and would go on to marry his high school sweetheart Patsy (Burtscher) Kramer on November 6, 1954. He started Kramers Wallcoverings in 1959 and retired in 1999, handing down his love for the art of wallpaper to his family. Dan loved to fish in his younger years and was an avid poker, euchre, and rummy player, playing his last poker game just two days prior. He loved Michigan Football and the New York Yankees. Dan held a deep, selfless love for his family and friends and a great devotion to his sweetie. And as many knew, if you knew Dan, you knew his whistle.Dan is survived by his loving wife Patsy; his children Michelle (Jerry) Benore, Danelle Elliott, Julie Kramer, Patti Sue (Allen) Ludwick, and Jenny Kramer; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Danny Kramer, and best friend Ricky Henning.Visitation will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 10 AM 1 PM at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home, (3219 Tremainsville Rd. Toledo, OH 43613), with a funeral service following immediately after at 1 PM. Dans family would like to thank Ohio Living Hospice for their care, especially Nicole.
