Dallas Duane Hammersmith

Dallas Duane Hammersmith, affectionately known as Doc or Dal, passed away on March 29, 2023. He was born on March 9, 1950 to Clarence and Viona (Abbott) Hammersmith. Dallas was a 1968 graduate of Bowling Green High School, and an employee of the City of Bowling Green's Public Works department for 24 years. He genuinely loved being outdoors, fishing in local ponds and the river, playing horseshoes, or just enjoying the warmth of the sun. He also enjoyed working on cars with his brothers and taking trips to visit family in Arizona. Dallas loved Ohio State Football, movie nights, old cars, and simply spending time with his family. He was the BEST father, friend, and brother, his loving smile would light up the room.In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his siblings, Danny Hammersmith, Ron Hammersmith, and Sharon Waddel. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jessica (Ben) Taube; granddaughters, Taylor Dunn-Roberts and Chezney Taube; and one great-grandchild on the way. Also surviving are his brother, Tim (Janet) Hammersmith, and his sister-in-law, Marsha Hammersmith.Services for Dallas will be private.
