Cindy Sue Clayton

Cynthia Sue Clayton, age 55, of Lambertville, MI passed away January 17, 2022, after a brief illness. Cindy was born October 31, 1966, in Toledo, OH to Leon and Sandra (Donovan) Clayton. She was a 1985 graduate of Bedford High School in Temperance, MI. Cindy married Martin Sekulski Sr. on September 6, 1986, and the two had two children together. Cindy spent many years as a medical coder working for APS, ProMedica, and most recently, University of Toledo Physicians. She enjoyed wedding and event planning, shopping, trips to the casino, and Tom Brady, but nothing made her happier than time with her family. Many knew her as Cindy, but her five grandchildren called her “DiDi”.

Cindy was a beloved daughter, mother, aunt, niece, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Clayton, brother Christopher, maternal grandparents Donald and Elma Donovan, and paternal grandparents Talmadge and Fronnie Clayton.

Cindy was survived by her mother, Sandra Clayton; brother, Leon Clayton; best friend and daughter, Jennifer (Christopher) Pullen; son, Martin (Pamela) Sekulski Jr.; grandchildren, Easton, Colton, McKenzie, Emma, and Gabe; nephew, Logan; aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends, and her canine companion, Phoebe.

The family would like to extend their thanks to all of the doctors and nurses at Mercy St. Anne’s ICU unit who took care of Cindy over the past few weeks. Visitation will take place Friday, January 21, 2022, from 2-8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, Holland Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
