Constance Meadows

Constance Connie F. Meadows died peacefully September 10, 2015. Daughter of Charles G. and Esther F. Palmer, she was born May 9, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA. She spent her childhood in Hyattsville, MD and graduated from Hyattsville High School. Connie met James Jim R. Meadows, while working for ERCO, College Park, MD. They married March 26, 1951. They had one daughter, Charissa. Due to Jim's career, the family moved several times, Key West, Massachusetts, and Texas. In 1961, they moved to San Diego, CA and settled in Chula Vista. Connie earned a degree and teaching credential from San Diego State University. Until 1996, she worked for San Diego County Probation Department. Connie served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader. Active in Toastmasters International, she was Area 6 Governor 1992-1993. Connie enjoyed camping, walking, and Bible study. She taught Sunday School at the Chula Vista Salvation Army. In 2009, she moved to Toledo, OH to be closer to Charissa. In 1995, after forty-five years of marriage, James preceded Connie in death. Also preceding her are brother, Charles G. Palmer, Jr and granddaughter, Anastasia Joy Ebersole. She is survived by daughter, Charissa Ebersole of Toledo, brothers, Carroll F. Palmer of Naples, FL and David F. Palmer of Hyattsville, MD, and grandchildren, Shoshannah Ebersole of Denver, CO and Wolfgang Ebersole of Toledo.
