Clarence C. Crandall

Clarence C. Crandall, age 80, of Walbridge, OH, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Genoa Retirement Center, Genoa, OH. Clarence was born in Adrian, MI, on June 15, 1938, to Clarence O. and Dorthey (Timmerman) Crandall. On April 15, 1961, he married Judith Kay Jewell in Stony Ridge, OH. Clarence worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford (LOF) in East Toledo and Rossford. He enjoyed reading, working word search puzzles, and watching television. Surviving Clarence are his sons, Charles (Marlene) Crandall of Walbridge, OH, John (Michael Hentges) Crandall of Cincinnati, OH, and Brad (Laura) Crandall of Toledo, OH; four grandchildren, Adam, Jacob, Cecelia, and Carson Crandall; four great-grandchildren, Jameson, Anna, Edmund, and Gideon Crandall; sister, Virginia (Ronald) Hazel of Luckey, OH; sisters-in-law, Linda Martinez of Florida, Carol (Richard, Sr.) DeVerna of Florida, Marlene Rahm of Florida, Bertha Goeckerman of Arizona, and Deborah Harding of Rossford, OH; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; parents, Clarence O. and Dorthey Crandall; and sisters, Hazel and Viola Crandall. Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 1, 2019, from 2-8 p.m. at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home, 1163 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, where additional visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until services. Interment will be at Troy Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, and the Toledo Area Humane Society.
