Clare Marie "Terry" Reid

Clare Marie “Terry” Reid died November 18, 2021 at the age of 81 in Maumee, Ohio with her son Mike and his wife Karen at her bedside at Elizabeth Scott Community. Born May 14, 1940 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Clarence and Bonnie Kleman Bercher, she will be missed by many members of her large blended family. Much of her life was spent in Plymouth, Massachusetts where she held a number of banking positions, including branch manager, at Plymouth Savings Bank, Plymouth Five and Plymouth Federal Credit Union. She was a longtime communicant at Christ Episcopal Church in Plymouth where she served as a Lay Reader and she and her late husband Walter “Sonny” Reid served on the Vestry. Terry was predeceased by husband Sonny; two sisters, Laverne Kintz and Sheila Dilmore; a brother, Paul Hart; a son, Richard Owens Jr., and a grandson, Alec Reid. She is survived by five sons, Mike (Karen) Owens, Chris Reid and Family, Mark (Beth) Reid, Scott (Pam) Reid, Kevin (Jennifer) Reid; a daughter, Vicki Reid (Steve) Rellas; two sisters, Teresa Mellin and Barbara (Mark) Johnston; a brother, Clarence (Frankie) Bercher; brother-in-law, Kenny (Marsha) Reid; and sister-in-law Peggy Bernardo. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Terry loved her Plymouth home situated between cranberry bogs and Billington Sea but enjoyed travel and lived abroad in two-year stretches when husband Sonny had engineering assignments in both Egypt and Puerto Rico. She lived in Port Charlotte, Florida for a time before moving to Maumee, Ohio to be near her son, Mike. The family is planning a memorial service in Plymouth in early spring.
