Christopher Carpenter

Christopher E. Carpenter peacefully embraced Eternal Life on Christmas morning. Chris possessed a kind and gentle spirit. He had a passion for life and was always ready to share humor and laughter as well as a helping hand. Living life with gusto was his motto. He treasured family and family gatherings. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, football games and camaraderie with friends and relatives. Jeopardy was a daily ritual. He was an avid reader of Z. Sitchin books and quantum mechanics, both of which he found to be fascinating and mentally stimulating. Chris was accomplished in the skilled trades. Though he will be missed, our hearts will be filled with the best memories of him. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Carpenter and sister, Jessica Hanley. He is survived by his mother, Linda Hanley; siblings, Michael (Cassandra) Carpenter, Zachary, Myklyn, Anthony and Cal; Diana (Matt) Jaworski, Devin Lupas, Izabel Jaworski; children, Kristie, Jennifer and Alanna and various cousins, aunts and uncles. Friends will be received at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111) on Thursday from 2-8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Temperance, MI , where friends will be received after 10 AM.
