Charles Hughes

Charles Jay Hughes, age 69 of Toledo passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born October 3, 1951 in Toledo to John and Lillian (Gabriel) Hughes. A 1969 graduate of Rogers High School, he was a route salesman for Cains Potato Chips for over 20 years retiring in 2001. He coached Special Olympics Softball for 7 years and enjoyed bowling, camping, horseback riding and darts. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, he is survived by daughters, Crystal Hughes, Rose (Robert) Rhoads and Charlie Hughes; grandchildren, Keith Rhoads, Adina Richardson and Brittany Rhoads, Taylor McFadden and Wyatt Will; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, John Hughes Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, Holland Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Hwy., Holland on Friday from 4-7 PM where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. COVID precautions of masks and social distancing will be observed at all times.
